Flower Show Highlights

Debco Avenue of Achievable Gardens

The Debco Avenue of Achievable Gardens is one of the most popular exhibits at the Melbourne Flower and Garden Show. The gardens are designed and constructed by Horticulture students and come with recipe cards of how to 'recreate' these mini masterpieces in your own backyard.

Landscape Garden Competitions

In this competition some of Australia's top Landscape Designer's are battling against each other for the most prestigious design awards. In the student design competition, a pool of talented Horticulture or Design students is chosen to construct their landscape design at the Show.

The Great Hall of Flowers

The Royal Exhibition Building turns into the Great Hall of Flowers - a glorious and vibrant exhibition of the best the floriculture industry – and where you can buy blooms direct from our Growers.

Garden Sculpture Exhibition

This is an exhibition and sale of garden sculptures, by the Association of Sculptors of Victoria. Pieces are from a few hundred dollars to several thousand – and you can vote for your favourite one in the Peoples' Choice Award.

Live Student Floral Design Competitions

Here floral design students create a floral design based on a specific theme in a live one and a half hours competition – battling it out with their skill, imagination and creativity.

Art For Sale

The exhibition hall is filled with hundreds of beautiful pieces of art work, which can be purchased & taken home the same day.

Student Floral Fashion Design

These are amazing and wacky fashion designs by RMIT design students. Each year, they have a different theme, providing visitors with a different perspective of fashion & flowers!

The Disney Fairies Children's Garden

In the Disney Fairies Children’s Garden parents and children are entertained for hours with potting sessions, an animal farm, butterfly experiences, face painting, drawing and entertainment.

Entertainment

Then there is roving entertainment throughout the Carlton Gardens and the Royal Exhibition Building. At the main stage inside the Great Hall of Flowers you can also watch floral design demonstrations and competitions, and celebrity gardeners’ advice.

The Flower Show is on in the World Heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building and the Carlton Gardens. You can get there with the free city circle tram, or the #86 or #96 trams. Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show
